According to the US Army Air Force Interchangeability Cross Reference Chart dated February 1945, this indicator was used in the fighter P-47 Thunderbolt, as well as in the A-35 Vengeance dive bomber, C-46 Commando transport, and UC-78 Bobcat utility aircraft.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe positions of the wheels were indicated by the 3 small window insets, one each on the tail and each wing. The position of the flaps was indicated in the small window inset at the top, by showing increments of quarter fractions from Up to fully extended Down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis instrument is New Old Stock in its original carton.
