For Autumn/Winter 2024, Liberty Fabrics presents The Curated Floral, a celebration of the beauty, diversity, and wonder of nature’s masterpiece – the flower. Celebrated across three distinctive narratives: Floral Focus, Floral Library, and Floral Wonderland, this collection spotlights flowers outside their natural context and as a subject worthy of artistic, scientific, and symbolic study. Whether photographed, painted, or preserved, the Liberty Design Studio has re-envisioned the flower as a work of art.
Heavily influenced by the recognisable Arts & Crafts mirrored repeat, and inspired by the society which records flowers from a specific place, known as the Florilegium Society, this design depicts detailed watercolour paintings of British wildflowers. From honeysuckle to forget-me-nots, the flowers in this design sit amongst trailing ferns and leaves.
